Last month TENAMINT announced at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City that they are launching the digital fractionalization of an unopened box of collectible trading cards. This is a real game changer as no company has ever done this. They are making it easy for collectors to list and trade fractions of the most coveted cards.
A sealed case break box has four boxes of 2021-22 Panini National Treasures basketball cards in it. Customers are able to buy a spot in the case break for $168 whereas all the boxes together would have cost over $18k. Up until now breakers were buying boxes and allowing individual collectors to buy-in and keep a selection of cards from the box, but the problem with that was only one person could own each card. Now TENAMINTnt is fractionalizing the break, which means they are giving everyone the opportunity to own a fraction of the cards, including the top cards.
Sal Chaudhry, Co-Founder and COO of TENAMINT said this when he announced this important milestone, “The Hobby is experiencing explosive growth and ready for innovation. TENAMINT is here to make owning a high-value card accessible and blockchain technology makes this possible via fractional ownership.”
The TENAMINT system is going to make it easy for serious collectors to buy and sell fractions of real trading cards as digital collectibles and by doing so, they will be able to build a diverse collection of the most sought-after cards
