Cross the Ages is a free-to-play blockchain game in which magic and science fiction come together in a Dystopian World. Cross the Ages is different than other digital card games because players can trade in NFT cards for physical cards. This element is designed to combine the nostalgia of physical trading cards with the future of digital to provide players with an integrated experience highlighting the benefits of both.

This game is based on a 7 book story published by the creators to deepen character and story development. The overall project has been 10 years in the making. The game's first season involved a total of 365 cards with a variety of different rarities.

Earlier this week, Cross the Ages announced that they just completed a $12 Million seed round of funding. This latest funding round has some major names attached to it including Animoca Brands, Ubisoft, Polygon and Sebastian Borget (Chief Operating Officer of The Sandbox). According to a statement released by Cross the Ages, this funding will be used for marketing purposes, program development, and searching for new industry talent.

Blockchain-based video games have been growing in popularity through the last year. Many game developers are using these blockchain games as a way to stimulate and grow the crypto market. According to DappRadar, there are 398 active blockchain based games on the market right now, which represents a 92% increase from the year before.

Cross the Ages' vision for growth includes reaching multiple fan bases by offering different value propositions, hopefully fit to satisfy all, consisting of physical trading cards, digital (NFT) trading cards, and its original book collection. Players are encouraged to read the original story book collection to find clues offering players a competitive advantage within the game.
