Nike has unveiled the latest shoe in the King James signature line, the LeBron XX. The NBA legend LeBron James is entering his 20th season in the NBA. The shoe was designed by Jason Petrie, head designer of the LeBron line since the Zoom LeBron VII and Senior Footwear Designer for Men’s Basketball.
The LeBron XX is the first of the signature line to debut as a low-top, featuring various elements from past models like the Nike Sphere ankle collar lining from the Air Zoom Generation, the mid-foot carbon fiber shank plate from the Zoom LeBron 5 and the Dunkman logo on the outsoles, last seen on the LeBron 16.
Petrie says the ‘Designed and Engineered to the Exact Specifications of the Next Generation’ line stitched inside the tongue is a reference to LeBron’s sons and also an attempt to inspire all young basketball players. The shoe is expected to drop in adult and kids sizes on September 29 at Nike.com and select retailers for $200.
