Jack Daniels, one of the biggest whiskey brands in the world, has officially filed NFT-related trademark applications, indicating that they may soon be joining the Web3 space.
Based on these trademark applications, the company might soon release a suite of products that could include digital wallets, digital art, digital media, digital collectibles, digital beverages and digital apparel to be used across different metaverse worlds. As many major brands start developing their own strategy around Web3, it will be interesting to see how a whiskey brand finds their place in the metaverse.
We have seen brands in the past like Nike file trademarks around digital items, followed by launching NFTs shortly afterwards. Whether it’s Jack Daniels or another alcohol brand, we can expect a future where these beverages will likely have both physical and digital experiences.
