Golf lovers will soon be able to own a piece of their favorite game in the form of digital collectible NFTs. Autograph, an NFT company owned by Tom Brady, has announced a partnership with the PGA Tour to develop Golf NFTs.
The PGA Tour will dig up classic videos and images from memorable previous seasons of the golf world to mint as digital collectibles. Fans around the world will be able to purchase, own and celebrate gold history through these NFTs from the PGA Tour. Fans will also have the opportunity to earn rewards that include access to exclusive digital and in-person experiences. The platform is expected to launch in 2023.
Legendary golfer Tiger Woods sits on Autograph’s Board of Advisors and we can expect several of these NFTs to feature his biggest moments. At this point, we can see almost every major sport taking on the strategy of developing NFT digital collectibles as a fan engagement tool. From NBA Top Shot to Autograph to Sorare, the landscape of sports NFTs is growing.
